Toxicity Promo Image Number Two
After the break to prevent spoilers. Also, the text along with the image states, “It’s the last new episode for a while…” If the TFP fandom goes on an Afro Circus Challenge binge like the Korra fandom did, I don’t know how I’m going to handle it.
I was going through One Shall Rise Part 3 to take screencaps of Ratchet’s history lesson, and noticed a rapid shift in Soundwave’s design. Soundwave is bulky and Laserbeak-less when Megatron is still Megatronus, but changes to his current form and has Laserbeak on his chest once Megatron is on his killing-spree. I know from the DVD commentary that some of these paintings were done in the US due to the earthquake in Japan, so it could just be an animation error, although I prefer to believe that Megatron’s creation of the Decepticons simply inspired Soundwave to take on a new vehicle-mode (although that wouldn’t explain why he gained the ability to transform into a vehicle on Earth, so I don’t know).
On another note, Megatron has a blade in his left arm in the second photo, which I’m assuming was simply integrated into his cannon hand later on since he hasn’t used any sword but the one in his right hand throughout the entire series thus far.
h-falcon asked: To answer your question from one of your post. About Arcee's pink chest panels. It's an error. It was only in those two episodes and never used again. Also they aren't grey normally. They are transparent. They are glass panels. (Most likely the parts that go over her Headlights) The one behind those if you look carefully enough you can see is also glass and most likely her windshield. But yeah anyways that is why we see the pink only in those two eps.
Yeah, I figured it was an animation error, but it’s sort of interesting that it happened in those two episodes only. Never really noticed that they were glass, though, so I guess that means I’ll need to spend a few hours taking screencaps of the bots from every angle until I know every single thing about them.
While watching Predatory again, my video lagged at an opportune time and I caught her pink chest plates again when she’s telling Jack to stay put:
This makes me wonder if the pink chest plates are actually a part of her transformation sequence, as she’s in mid-transformation in this scene. Maybe they’re hidden behind her blue chest plates, or underneath the glass and the metal layer and come out when she’s going into motorcycle mode? It’s possible that for the two other episodes where she’s pink-plated the entire time that they just used a character model from the transformation sequence, I guess.
